Matric Results - Passed Matric and Want a Career in Linux Administration?

So with the IED (independent examinations board) results out yesterday and the government matric results out today thousands of  matriculants are going to be deciding what to do with their future. If you are looking for a careers in IT (information technology) being a Linux system administrator look no further than the Linux Professional Institute accreditation.

Career as Linux System Administrator

If you are interested in Linux and wish to enter the Linux system admin market place you should seriously consider the internationally recognised LPI certifications. These certifications take one from a juniour level Linux technician to a senior Linux server administrator and system architect. There are 3 levels to the LPI certifications LPI-1, LPI-2 and LPI-3. Levels 1 and 2 are set and in level 3 students choose a specialisation such as Linux security, virtualisation or mixed environments.

You can do the level 1 certification first and then start work, completing level 2 and 3 at a future date or you can do the courses one after the other, but practicale experience is recommended for level 2-3.
